Humantay 1 day trek.

Humantay lake is located to the north part of Cusco, it is 3 hours driving  from Cusco (110 km by car) and 1 hour hike up  (3km). it is just behind the amazing snow camp mountain Salkantay.  Humantay lake day trip is the best option to find the beautiful  snow mountains in just one day trip from Cusco. During our trip you will be able enjoy the Humantay lake also you will meet excellent tour guides, great local food and lot of fun with our amazing Humantay Lake Tour.

Itinerary  

Our profesional mountain guide will pick you up at you homestay, hostel or hotel  between 4:20 to 4:40 hrs. You must tell our Travel company location are you staying one day before departure and wait us ready for our Humantay trek.

Temperature during the first hours of our Humantay lake tour is cold ( 5 to 9°C ) that why you need to bring one extra warm sweater, jacket, hat and gloves. These will keep you comfortable during this driving time to Mollepata. After 2 hours driving we will arrived to Mollepata where we will stop for breakfast and get last things you could forgot buy in Cusco like water, snacks or others. 

After breakfast there is 1 more hour by car to Soraypampa. Ones we arrive to this area will be able to see the beautiful mountains Salkantay (6230 meters above sea level) and Humantay (5250 meters above sea level). Then we will get ready and take our small back pack to start trekking to Humantay Lake Peru for 1 hour  or 3 km. Way up to Humantay Lake is steep trek however our small groups and our guide will take their time to enjoy and arrived there without pressure.  

After enjoy our first view of Humantay lake there is a optional small climb up to the right or left area of the lake where you can enjoy a panoramic view. 

For the extreme people that like swim in cold area there is the option they can jump into the water which it almost frozen water Humantay lake Temperature 0-4°C.

Next we have the easy part of our trek. We have to go down to SorayPampa for another hour. Then we will take our Private transportation to go back to Mollepata where a local lunch will be waiting for us. Ones we finish Lunch we will go back to Cusco.

We will arrive to Cusco between 17:00 to 18:00 hrs.
